bio

Airborne Age started out as a recording project that Tony Dean (Drums/vocals) & Andy Demczuk (Guitar/vocals) formed right after graduating high school. In the winter of 2008 Tony & Andy decided that their old buddy's from their previous blues band Groove Box would be perfect for the new project. Shortly after getting Cody (Bass) and Spencer (piano/sax) on board, Andy asked one of his best friends who played music but never had jammed with them if he wanted to be in the band. This man was John-Paul (guitar). A rugged Romanian gypsy, and recycler. Practices began at an abandoned house. It was here that they started to really get their songs together (and messed around with throwing knives and fire a little too much). In the Spring of 2009 they played their first couple of local shows in Orange County and later a mini-tour around Southern California. An album (Letters of Going Away '09) and an EP (Sleep, Sweet Memories '10) were recorded and released DIY style on Ultravivid Recordings. The band has big plans for the future. and intends on keeping the songs coming.
